Sample Market Reader Pro® Survey – Design Flexibility

Our software is extremely flexible and scalable. We can support just about any design feature you will see on the web. We support HTML on every page and question.

The link below provides access to a survey that was constructed for the sole purpose of presenting Market Reader Pro’s design flexibility to Mars Confectionary of Australia. To create this survey we utilized the same style sheet and java script found on one of Mars’s promotional web pages and incorporated it into our own survey.

The “loud” graphical design was taken from one of their candy games targeted to young children. In addition, we produced and incorporated an advantage3D image of a few of their products. We think it displays a nice example of how flexible our surveys can look.

Simple Survey – Omnibus

Client’s Objectives

It was our client’s objective to provide data on consumer interest in various cleaner ingredients to a specific consumer products manufacturer, who they were targeting for new business. They required supporting evidence from consumers in preparation for an upcoming sales meeting with this client. The study needed to be quick, simple, and inexpensive.

Method

  • We utilized our standard Omnibus service
  • The survey asks 11 screening questions (demographic, psychographic) and 3 product related questions.
  • The average respondent could complete the survey in less than 2 minutes.
  • And there was one instant prize winner.

Delivery

Once we received the final approved questioner we performed the following tasks in 8 days:

  • Built survey
  • Survey approved
  • Collected and retuned final data to client

Medium Complexity Survey – Brand Health

Client’s Objectives

It was our client’s objective to report to its different clients on the health of their brands. Using our service’s they took following study approach:

  • Brand success is a function of a holistic consumer proposition.
  • The proposition is built on the exposure and interaction of the entire brand’s marketing elements.
  • Research was initiated to explore the link between marketing mix elements and overall brand success.
  • This approach goes beyond evaluating fragrance appeal in isolation to include other marketing mix elements.

Method

Packaging, Brand Name, Print Advertising*

  • Other marketing mix elements were presented to consumers to assess awareness and appeal.
    • Consumers asked to focus on specific element only -- regardless of prior awareness/exposure to other mix elements.
  • Online recruitment and interview
  • N = 1,700 fine fragrance users
  • Packages were presented first
    • Outer box and bottle shown
    • Font intact but letters jumbled/removed to minimize impact of brand name
  • Brand names presented next
  • Print ads presented last

Delivery

Once we received the final approved questioner we performed the following task in less than 4 weeks.

  • Purchased Products
  • Photographed Packaging
  • Performed Digital modifications to images in Photoshop (letters jumbled/removed to minimize impact of brand name)
  • Cleaned up magazine advertisements and made web ready images
  • Built survey
  • Survey approved
  • Collected and retuned final data to client

Complex – Obtaining Consumer Reactions to Video Concepts

Client’s Objectives

The task was introduced with an explanation that they will be viewing some visual "ideas" that are meant as artistic expressions. Some of them captured the times that we live in, some the times we soon will face, and others focused on what has always been true. The clients were interested in knowing what respondents thought of each of the visual ideas and their relevance for their lives. (This was very carefully written so consumers were able to "play along" with this exercise.)

Method

  • Each of the five video streams was played, one at a time, following a one to two sentence context-setting text statement. For example, the Black & Light trend might be introduced with a statement suggesting that contrasts indicate differences and are (for that reason) mysterious but also clarify each element. After the video ran, the same follow up questions as listed in the prior paragraph were be measured.
  • The brand imagery exercise came next. As discussed, respondents indicated which listed brands were described by each attribute. With this exercise, our clients intended to draw conclusions about the relevance of their trends to our client's brands among their target.
  • N = 3,684
  • This survey contained 30 questions

Delivery

Once we received the final approved questioner we performed the following tasks in less than 4 weeks

  • Modified original flash files to be web ready
  • Cleaned up magazine advertisements and made web ready images
  • Built survey
  • Survey approved
  • Collected and retuned final data to client
