Givaudan, the leading company in the flavors and fragrance industry, called on Market Reader Pro™ to test multiple concepts for new fragrances for their client, Avon, and provide consumer feedback on concept executions featuring a celebrity. Due to the short time-frame associated with this study, we immediately built and launched a short, concept-driven survey utilizing our own set of survey building tools and our own diverse panel. We were able to collect feedback from over 1,500 consumers in less than 24 hours and provided Givaudan with the actionable results. A world leader in homeopathic medicines called on Market Reader Pro™ to help them expand the market for their topical pain relief gel into mainstream drug stores, grocery stores, and other venues. We recruited and screened panelists and then conducted three focus groups for concept testing of the product packaging and name. Using the concepts that were developed in the focus groups, we conducted a national online survey that included graphics of the proposed packaging. Our ability to combine the benefits of qualitative and quantitative research helped our client successfully launch the product with new packing and a new name that is currently being showcased on their Web site. A leading manufacturer of appliances contracted Market Reader Pro™ to help them assess their new, pre-market major appliances. In-home product testing helps them to increase their market share by gauging the level of acceptability of their new products, discovering any unforeseen issues, and helping to better understand consumers’ habits and attitudes. Each study lasts six months to a year, during which Market Reader Pro™ collects, analyzes, and reports on consumer feedback through surveys, in-home interviews, and SIRR™ interviews. Additionally, we post audio and video files to a secure Web site, allowing all employees involved on a project—wherever they may be across the globe—to log on and see consumers using products in their own home environments. The PIAS Group, based in Osaka, Japan, is a major producer of high-quality cosmetics. Upon deciding to expand its product offering into the United States of America, the PIAS Group contracted with Market Reader Pro™ for online market research to help them determine how to best launch their first product into the U.S. market. Recently, our SIRR™ Systems were used in a product innovation study for a leading appliance manufacturer. After collecting consumer insight through a one year in-home product test of a kitchen appliance, our client wanted to delve even more deeply into consumers’ habits and attitudes. SIRR™ interviews allowed our client to see consumers using their product in their homes without having to actually travel to consumers’ homes. In this case, our client then used the SIRR™ System videos to prepare for conducting follow-up, in-home interviews with the consumers. Market Reader Pro™, using its upgraded Advantage3D® server, supplied music video testing services for Somerset Entertainment, a Canadian based company that produces 75 to 100 albums per year. Only six days after receiving their raw media files, Market Reader Pro™ produced six different Web ready streaming music videos, designed a questionnaire related to the videos, built an online survey, and collected over 1,500 responses. In less than one week, we produced the action report that resulted in Somerset Entertainment changing the song samples heard in over 2,000 interactive displays across the U.S. Approximately four weeks after initially contacting Market Reader Pro™, Somerset Entertainment began to see the fruits of our labor, as sales of the tested album increased.
